1. All puppies are raised inside our home with our family. We do not use outdoor kennels. Our Danes are first and foremost our family pets. All puppies are socialized with our other dogs and cat. They are each handled, loved, and kissed every day. References are available from previous puppy buyers.
2. Companion puppies are sold on limited registration (NO EXCEPTIONS) and are required to be spayed/neutered no sooner than 10 months of age for bitches and 12 months for dogs. Show Potential puppies will be sold on a show contract and a co-ownership (NO EXCEPTIONS). Details on Co-Ownership are laid out in our Show Puppy Contract .Please email for complete details or a copy of our Show Puppy Contract.
3. Pet Puppies vs. Show Puppies……….. Many people want a show quality dog for a pet because somehow the misconception is that the show puppy is going to be better. Conformationally yes, there is a reason we classify them as a companion but it is very unlikely that a pet owner will be able to tell the difference between the different puppies.
4. All puppies are required to be registered with the AKC, American Kennel Club. At the time you purchase your puppy, we will fill out this paperwork together. You will supply a check made out to AKC in the amount of the registration fee. You will be supplied with a copy of the AKC registration papers. All original papers will be mailed into AKC by me and you will receive the individual registration from the AKC once it is processed by them. All puppies names must be registered with the prefix Fendane or Fendanes. NO EXCEPTIONS.
5. All our puppies are to be sold as pets first and we encourage everyone to try as many venues with their dogs as they feel comfortable. Training is a great way to bond with your puppy even if you never obtain any titles. Obedience training is a MUST for a Dane puppy and all puppy buyers will be required to do at least a 6 wk Beginner Obedience class or a Puppy Kindergarten class.
6. All puppies purchase price is $1750. A $250 non-refundable deposit will be required to hold your choice of a puppy, deposits are accepted once pregnancy is confirmed by ultrasound, and upon receipt of deposit, references will be checked. Price is no tdifferent for show/companion puppies, nor is there a price difference for cropped/uncropped puppies. Puppies sold outside the US purchase price starts at $3500 with shipping to be paid by the purchaser.
7. If for any reason there isn’t a puppy of requested sex/quality available then your deposit can either be refunded or put towards a future litter. If we are not completely happy with your references we will refund your deposit. These are the only reasons the deposit will be refunded.
8. To reiterate, we will not refund your deposit simply because you changed your mind. Your deposit is a commitment to purchase a puppy. Once we receive that, we tell all future puppy buyers that a particular puppy is not for sale. Please only send a deposit if you are committed to purchase a Fendane Great Dane puppy.
9. When puppies are evaluated at 6-8 weeks, those who have deposits will be able to pick their puppy after we the breeders have decided what we are keeping. Those who have deposits in will get to pick in the order the deposits were received, show picks fist and then companions.
10. We are committed to our puppies and our puppy buyers. We will be available to you 24/7 for the life of your puppy.
